Open Burning

The burning of any materials wherein products of combustion are emitted directly into the ambient air without passing through a stack or chimney from an enclosed chamber. For the purposes of this definition, a chamber shall be regarded as enclosed, when during the time combustion occurs, only apertures, ducts, stacks, flues, or chimneys necessary to provide combustion air and permit the escape of exhaust gasses are open.

Car Seat Inspection Program

The Anderson Township Car Seat Inspections are performed at ATFD Stations by certified technicians. For more information on how to schedule an appointment contact Lisa Farrar at 688-8400 or by email Monday through Friday or Station 10 at 688-8092 on Saturday and Sunday.

New Car Seat Guidelines

Utilizing new pandemic safety guidelines, the Fire Department will resume car seat checks on March 1, 2021.  Child car seat checks must be scheduled by emailing Ben Meyer ( or calling Fire Station 10 (513-688-8092).  No walk-in appointments will be accepted.  Inspections will be conducted at Fire Station 10.  The address is 6211 Salem Road.  Facial masks are required and the driver must participate in a short screening process prior to the car seat inspection.  No other people are permitted to accompany the driver at the time of the inspection.
