Elected Officials
Anderson Township is governed by a board of three elected township trustees and an elected fiscal officer. Terms are for four years. Elected officials work part-time. Township trustees remain close to the community, offering more personal service than any other unit of government. The role of the township trustee includes:
- adopting the annual budget,
- serving as a board of finance,
- approving township contracts.
Based on policies and priorities set by Anderson Township Trustees, township administrators and their staff handle day-to-day oversight and performance monitoring of service delivery, recommendations regarding policy, planning and coordination of budgets, state and federal regulation compliance, grants and citizen requests.
