Old Fort / Little Miami River Open Space Planning

After the historic 1997 flood, Anderson Township partnered with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to initiate the public acquisition of flood-prone structures and properties along the Little Miami River.  This spawned a now, nearly three-decade long program, where the Township has acquired and preserved numerous floodplain areas in Old Fort, off Debolt Road in the northwestern part of Anderson Township.  Over that time, there has been a growing interest in Anderson Townsh... Native Plant Event Returns Sunday, May 17, 2026

Anderson Township’s Great Tree Award celebrates trees that enrich the community’s landscape and reflect the township’s natural character. Each year, four trees are recognized, one in each category of Shade, Evergreen, Ornamental, and Fall Color. Highlighting outstanding examples of size, health, form, and seasonal interest. Anderson Township Biannual Curb & Sidewalk Construction Begins

Anderson Township has begun its 2026 curb and sidewalk repair program.  The first step, saw cutting of curbs is underway or will soon begin on select streets.  The process will take two to three weeks. Residents can expect minimal disruption during this time and “No Parking” signs will be posted 24 hours in advance. Electricity Aggregation Program Renewed Again

Anderson Township’s electricity aggregation program, which allows the township to buy electricity at a group rate to obtain more competitive pricing for residents, has been approved by the Board of Township Trustees for a term of 19 months, through the December 2027 meter read date. In line with higher electricity costs across the board, the new price will be $0.09999/kWh for traditional power and $0.10260/kWh for 100% green energy option.
