Meals on Wheels Southwest OH & Northern KY
Seniors often face unique medical, social, and nutritional needs. Meals on Wheels focuses on protecting and improving the lives of our region's seniors by offering them the meals they need to sustain themselves – and much more.
At the Anderson Township Senior Center, nutritious meals are provided, along with the opportunity to meet new friends and discuss common interests. Lunch is served from 11:30-12:30 each day the Senior Center is open. We ask members to sign up for meals two days in advance to facilitate ordering. Members are encouraged to contribute $1 per meal. The monthly menu is available on our Daily Meals page. Click Here for Daily Meals
Meals on Wheels might be best known for home delivery. Food is the heart of their mission, which is why they deliver 4,000 meals a week to Cincinnati area seniors. The in-home visits also provide unique opportunities to meet nutritional needs, combat isolation, address safety hazards, and enable seniors to live independently in their home.
In addition to the daily food service, Meals on Wheels helps seniors in other ways. Emergency Meal Boxes are available to give to seniors if inclement weather is predicted. Pet food programs are offered to seniors struggling to provide adequate food for their dogs and cats. Transportation can be provided to and from shopping trips, social events, and medical appointments. Social workers are also available for assistance with financial management and care coordination.
