Anderson Mental Health Collaborative Presents 'Screenagers'

January 28, 2025, 6:00 PM

On January 28, 2025, at 6PM, Anderson Mental Health Collaborative partners, Step Up Anderson and Ben Kimble Foundation, are offering a complimentary viewing of Screenagers: Under the Influence. The latest in the Screenagers line up, the film examines the impact of our digital age on teens' decision-making in relation to substances such as vaping, drugs, and alcohol. Exploring the latest research and learning more about the personal experiences of teens and families, it highlights the changing landscape of the substances themselves, offering solutions for how we can best empower teens as they face decisions about what they will and will not be influenced by.

The landscape of technology has resulted in our teens' current reality of being flooded by images on social media, movies, and TV shows about vaping, drugs, and alcohol. The film debunks myths and depicts strategies parents and schools can use to encourage healthy decision-making, support teen mental health, set limits, and create healthy home environments. The film also includes many ways young people are using their wisdom and strength to help each other and themselves through this complicated terrain around substance use.

RSVP for this complimentary screening at https://bit.ly/screenagers2025.  The screening will be held at Anderson Center, 7850 Five Mile Road, Anderson Township, OH  45230.
