Hanukkah begins today, December 14, and runs through December 22, 2025.
The eight-day festival also known as a wintertime “festival of lights” is celebrated with a nightly menorah lighting, fried foods and special prayers. It remembers the rededication in the second century B.C. of the Second Temple in Jerusalem.
