Tax-Related Phone Scams Reported

Since September 1, more than 600 Ohioans have reported tax-related phone scams. That statistic comes from the Ohio Attorney General's office, who warns that scammers tell residents they are in trouble with the IRS, then eventually ask for money.

Consumers are warned not to respond to calls asking for immediate payment of money to alleviate an IRS problem.
