Family fun set for Tree Lighting on December 5

Round up the family for a full evening of holiday magic at the 12th annual Holiday Tree Lighting set for Saturday, Dec. 5, on the streetscape of Anderson Towne Center.

The annual holiday celebration begins at 4 p.m., with Santa arriving at 4:15 p.m. A crowd gathers around the tree at 6 p.m. for the annual lighting ceremony.

Whatever the weather, you’ll be sure to enjoy indoor and outdoor activities, including the Holiday Passport, which can be exchanged for a gift bag and entry for raffle prizes after six visits to participating Towne Center businesses. Free horse-drawn wagon rides are a great family activity and children enjoy the craft-cookie decorating area. Other events include an outdoor artisan market, wood carving and ice sculpting demonstrations.

Businesses at the Towne Center will provide refreshments during the evening and entertainment begins at 4 p.m. with performances by local organizations. Performance include the Anderson Community Band, McNicholas High School Rockettes youth choirs and dance teams, and the Cincinnati Circus Performers.

Santa arrives at 4:15 p.m. on the Anderson Township Fire and Rescue’s fire engine “chariot.” Santa mail may also be dropped off at Macy’s and Huff Realty will be accepting donations for a toy drive.

Anderson Towne Center is at 7500 Beechmont Avenue in Anderson Township. Please see the files below for more information.
