Township Closer to Electric Aggregation Implementation

After two public hearings on January 19, Anderson Township has moved closer to establishing an electric aggregation program.

The township received voter approval in November to form an aggregated buying group on behalf of its citizens and small businesses. Since then, Anderson has been working through the prescribed process created by the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio.

At its January 19th meeting, after receiving input at two public hearings, the Board of Trustees adopted the Plan of Operation and Governance for its Aggregation program.  The Plan will now be submitted to the PUCO to certify the Township as a governmental aggregator.  This will enable the Township, through its broker, Energy Alliances, to solicit pricing requests.

For questions about the program, visit EnergyAlliances.com or contact Energy Alliances at 1-800-735-0359 - they welcome your call.  However, all communications initiated by Energy Alliances will be conducted through U.S. Mail, not through direct calls to your residence.
