Hydrant Flushing A Sign of Fall Coming in Anderson Township

Firefighters from Anderson Township Fire and Rescue will be flushing more than 2,600 township hydrants over the coming weeks as part of annual preventative maintenance.

The hydrants are checked to see that they are in working order before the winter. If they are leaking internally and not dry, they will not work when the weather is freezing.
