Tree Lighting Festivities Set for December 2
Experience an evening of holiday magic at the 14th annual Holiday Tree Lighting, hosted on the streetscape of the Anderson Towne Center on Saturday, Dec. 2.
Festivities and entertainment being at 4 p.m., with Santa arriving at 4:15 p.m. on his fire engine chariot. The event wraps up at the holiday tree at 6 p.m. for the annual lighting ceremony.
Between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m., free horse-drawn wagon will carry patrons around the center’s streetscape area, and children can try their hands at the cookie and craft decorating areas. Don’t forget to visit participating Towne Center businesses to have your Holiday Passport stamped. Once completed, this can be exchanged for a gift bag and entry for raffle prizes. Other events include an outdoor wood carving and ice sculpting demonstrations and outdoor fire rings.
Anderson Towne Center businesses will provide refreshments during the evening. While you are at the center, drop off Mail to Santa at Macy’s, or toy donations at Huff Realty.
