Free Vacation Security Check for Vacant Homes

Planning a get-away this holiday season? The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office offers a free security check of your home when your home is vacant or you are on vacation. Even if the trip takes you away over a long weekend, enjoy more peace of mind with this service.

It takes only a few minutes to set up the service. A few days before you leave, enter all your information online. Go to AndersonTownship.org and click on the Sheriff’s Office link under “Departments.”

To sign up visit http://www.andersontownship.org/departments/sheriffs-district-5/vacation-vacant-house-check.aspx or contact the Sheriff’s Office at 474-5770 to request the check and provide security information. Have security details ready such as an emergency contact, name of a key holder and more. When you return from your trip, email vhc@AndersonTownship.org or make a quick call to the Sheriff’s Office at 474-5770 noting you have returned and to report any possible issues/concerns.
