Drug Take Back Day Scheduled for April 21

Get unnecessary or expired prescription drugs out of your medicine cabinet during the annual Drug Take Back Day. Set for Saturday, April 21, the event allows you to safely dispose of over-the-counter or unneeded prescription drugs instead of throwing them in the trash or flushing them down the toilet.

This year’s event is hosted from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Anderson Center, 7850 Five Mile Road and sponsored by the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office District 5 and Anderson Township.

Not accepted at the site are liquids, aerosols, inhalers, needles or (plastic/glass) bottles. Due to incineration requirements, plastic pill bottles are not accepted. Please place all pills and tablets into a zip-lock type bag for disposal.
