Anderson Farmers’ Market Opens May 12 Under New Management

Anderson Farmers’ Market kicks off its 11th season on Saturday, May 12, and will be open every Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon through October 27.

Now managed by vendors, the market is still hosted at the Anderson Center Station, 7832 Five Mile Road and is an Anderson-based non-profit independent organization.

According to organizers, the market’s principal emphasis on education and supporting initiatives for local food production to help the community gain basic knowledge about why growing food is an important life skill.

Organizers plan more variety this year such as farmers, artisans, bakers and special guest vendors. The market will feature live musicians, food trucks and children’s activities.
