Safely Dispose of Unnecessary Meds During Take Back Day
Have expired or unneeded prescription drugs filling up your medicine cabinet? Bring these unwanted medicines to the annual Drug Take Back Day at Anderson Center. The event is hosted from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 20, at 7850 Five Mile Road.
Anderson Township and the Hamilton County Sheriff ’s Office partner every year to encourage residents to safely remove medications out of circulation, without polluting the water system or disposing of drugs in the trash.
Please note: Not accepted at the site are liquids, aerosols, inhalers, needles or (plastic/glass) bottles. Also, due to incineration requirements, plastic pill bottles are not accepted. Place all pills and tablets into a zip-lock style bag for disposal.
