July 4th Parade Brings the Red, White and Blue Back to Beechmont Avenue

Join your friends and neighbors to celebrate America’s independence during this year’s popular Independence Day Parade, the 15th year for the event.

The parade starts at 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 4, at the Anderson Township Operations Center, 7943 Beechmont Ave. It ends at the Anderson Towne Center. Some 100 entries are expected for this year’s event, including the combined Anderson-Turpin high schools marching band, community groups, bagpipers, dancers and more.

Once again, judges will determine the best entries in the parade in five categories: best neighborhood display, best float, best patriotic display, best business entry and a most spirited award. A judging booth will be set up in front of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, with another performance area in front of the Anderson Towne Center.

Although there will be no post-parade event at the Anderson Towne Center this year, many businesses will be open that day

Check AndersonParade.com for parking information. Beechmont Avenue closes at 9:30 a.m. to through traffic and reopens after the parade.
