April and Early May Event Cancellations

Several township events scheduled for April and early May have been cancelled. The April 22 Anderson Area Job Fair hosted at Anderson Center by the Anderson Area Chamber of Commerce, Forest Hills Foundation for Education and Anderson Township 101 has been postponed, with a future date being planned. More information will be shared once this is scheduled.

Although the Great American Cleanup annual community event for April 25 has been postponed until fall, residents are urged to conduct cleanup projects on their own. Plan a cleanup with your family while hiking on the township’s nearly 700 acres of Greenspace, or maybe walking on more than 20 miles of Anderson Trails. Be safe, wear your gloves, and take a bag along to help keep Anderson clean! Contact the township’s Public Works Department at 688-8400 ext. 4, if help is needed to pick up the debris you collect. Pick up garbage bags at Anderson Center by contacting Sarah Donovan at 688-8400, ext. 1181 or sdonovan@AndersonTownship.org.

Although Drug Take Back Day has now been cancelled for April 25, residents can still drop off unwanted prescription or over-the-counter medicines on weekdays 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the dropbox located inside the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office District 5 headquarters, 7954 Beechmont Ave. Not accepted at the site are liquids, aerosols, inhalers, needles or (plastic/glass) bottles. Place pills and tablets into a zip-lock style bag for disposal. Info: Deputy Brian Hayes at 688-8400 ext. 1191 or bhayes@AndersonTownship.org.

The Anderson Center Station Garage Sale and Community-wide Garage Sale set for Saturday, May 2, will not be held this year.
