Your Patience & Help Appreciated!

Anderson Township, Hamilton County Engineer’s Office & ODOT road workers have now been treating and clearing roadways for over 24 hours.  However, the nature of the precipitation that continues to fall hampers those efforts.

The Township has only one shift of 10 Public Works plow drivers, and as they make their third pass on our over 120 miles of roadways this morning, hills and curves are our top priority.

Snow and ice may not be removed from our over 475 cul-de-sacs until after a storm has passed.  Crews will return to these areas and make every effort to push and pile up snow to avoid fire hydrants, driveways, and mailboxes. However, it’s not always easy or possible in such a tight space.

To help our snowplow drivers:

• Remove parked cars from the roadway.

• Don’t blow, push or shovel into the street, which can refreeze and create a hazard with very cold temperatures predicted.

• As Hamilton County remains under a Level 2 Snow Alert, only travel if necessary.  Please follow this to help reduce the likelihood of accidents and help ensure the safety of our Fire & Rescue Department and Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office first responders.

We appreciate your understanding, patience, help and support during winter storm events. We are thankful for our Public Works team who helps ensure safety along our roadways!
