Do you own artifacts related to the Turpin archeological dig site or other sites in the Miami Valley? Want more information about your collected objects?
Come to Anderson Center, 7850 Five Mile Road, to participate in a “show and tell” event to learn more about your items. The appointment-only event is set for 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., tomorrow, Saturday, March 5. Make a half hour appointment to share your found objects with members of the current dig project called “Miami Valley Recollections and Reconnections.” This archeological group began re-excavating the Turpin site last summer and will continue their work during May and June this year.
Besides artifacts, project organizers are looking for family stories, letters, paintings or photographs related to the Turpin homestead dig site or Anderson Township to advance their project.
