Bike Rodeo Returns July 30 for Day of Safety, Fun

Build biking skills and learn about bike safety at an upcoming Bike Rodeo, scheduled for Saturday, July 30.

Organized by the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office District 5, the bike rodeo is an interactive non-competitive skills course that helps children improve their bike handling and better understand traffic safety skills.

“After a several year hiatus, the Sheriff’s Office and Anderson Township are bringing back the township’s popular bike rodeo,” said Deputy Jacqueline Campbell with the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office. The free event at Nagel Middle School, 1500 Nagel Road, runs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Children are asked to bring their own bikes and helmets.

The event includes bicycle games, door prizes, raffles and giveaways, as well as an opportunity for children to explore a fire truck with the crew from Anderson Township Fire and Rescue.
