Immediate opening for a part-time Transcriptionist/Fiscal Office Clerk in the Anderson Township Fiscal Office. This position will record and transcribe meeting minutes of the Anderson Township Board of Trustees and assist the Fiscal Office with duties assigned, including payroll-related duties. Flexible work schedule but must be able to attend the two, monthly meetings of the Board of Township Trustees, normally held on afternoon of the first Thursday of each month and in the early evening of the third Thursday.

 

Requirements:

 

·         Must pass a pre-employment background check

·         Must be bondable/insurable

·         High School education or GED equivalent

·         Experience with meeting transcription/record keeping

·         Knowledge of accounts payable/receivable and payroll functions

·         Standard knowledge of office principles, procedures, equipment, and technology

 

Skills and Qualifications:

 

·         Proficient in word processing, spreadsheets, and database software

·         Familiar with record-keeping/transcription principles and procedures

·         Proficient with English language spelling, grammar, and punctuation

·         Effective communication skills both verbal and written

·         Detail oriented

·         Ability to work independently and with employees in other Township departments

·         Dependability and trustworthiness
