Duke Energy remains on scene of this evening’s fire at their Markley Substation and has confirmed that it was the result of animal damage to the transformer.
Anderson Township greatly appreciates the timely efforts of Duke's crews, especially in the dark and with subfreezing temperatures. Service has been restored to over 800 of the estimated 2,200 homes that were without power.
