Keep Kids Buckled in For Safety

In 2020, 607 child passengers ages 12 and younger were killed in motor vehicle crashes in the United States, and more than 63,000 were injured. Of the children who were killed in a crash, 38% were not buckled up.

Many child-related injuries and deaths can be prevented by proper use of car seats, boosters and seat belts. But for some parents and caregivers, correctly installing a car seat or booster is a daunting challenge.

Do you know how to correctly install safety seats? Anderson Township’s free program teaches you how to complete the task and maximize safety for your child.

Inspections are performed by trained technicians with the Anderson Township Fire and Rescue Department. To learn, visit the Newtown Fire Station, 7036 Main Street by appointment only. No walk-ins will be accepted.
