Kids 1K Fun Run to Kick Off Independence Day Parade!
A new feature has been added to the popular Anderson Township Independence Parade! Join the first-ever Kids 1K Fun Run before the parade and jog down Beechmont Avenue with your friends and family.
Come to the Christ Hospital Outpatient Center parking lot (corner of Beechmont Avenue and Forest Road) between 9-9:30 a.m. to register for the free event.
The run launches at 9:45 a.m. near the landscaped median by Christ’s Outpatient Center, 7545 Beechmont Ave., with a 1-kilometer trek to Asbury Road before returning to the start point. Those participating in the parade will keep right on running up to the fire station for their 1K run!
It’s a chance for children (suggested ages 12 and under, and parents are welcome to join), to run down Anderson’s vehicle-free “Main Street” with thousands of spectators cheering them on! Participants are encouraged to dress up in red, white and blue to celebrate the holiday!
Additional information may be found in the files below.
Volunteers are needed to help with this new event and the parade. Contact Steve Sievers at ssievers@AndersonTownshipOH.gov or 513.688.8604 with questions or to help with any of the July 4th festivities!
