Remembering Heroes: Memorial Day Ceremony on May 27

Fallen veterans and those who have served in the armed services are honored and remembered during the annual Anderson Township Memorial Day Bell Ceremony.

This solemn remembrance is hosted by the Anderson Township Veterans Memorial Committee at 11:45 a.m. on Monday, May 27. It takes place on Anderson Center’s South Plaza, the site of the township’s armed service memorial.   The speaker is television anchor for Channel 9 news and U.S. Air Force Veteran Craig McKee.  In the service, Craig was a reporter and anchor for Air Force News. 

Names of deceased members of the armed forces will be read during the ceremony. Sign in by 11:45 a.m. if you wish to have your loved one’s name read during the ceremony.  The event starts at noon.
