Independence Day Parade - Rain or Shine

As the weather forecast calls for rain and possible storms on Thursday, July 4, just a reminder that Anderson’s 10 a.m. parade along Beechmont Avenue is on, rain or shine. However, the parade may be delayed or cancelled by severe weather and updates will be posted on our website (www.AndersonTownshipOH.gov) and Facebook page.

The parade follows the normal route, starting at the Beechmont Fire Station at Witt Road, and running to the Anderson Towne Center.

As Beechmont Avenue between Nagel and Five Mile can only be closed between 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m., we have a narrow window of time to host the event, and related Beechmont Bolt run. We cannot delay the parade or run to later in the day or reschedule it for another day.

Many rainy parades have come and gone in the past, and despite the conditions, these were a blast (including this photo from 2013).

Thanks for your support and understanding, and we hope you will choose to join us Thursday morning to celebrate our country’s independence … rain or shine!
