Order Native Trees, Shrubs to Benefit Your Environment

Looking for native trees or shrubs to plant this fall? The Hamilton County Conservation District hosts their annual Native Tree and Shrub Sale through August 23rd, with plant pickup scheduled for September 7th.

Planting trees and native plants can reduce the negative effects of stormwater runoff. Trees and native plants also can intercept and hold large amounts of water while reducing soil erosion by slowing down stormwater runoff.

Pick up plants from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 7th at Sharon Woods or Farbach-Werner Nature Preserve. Cost is $26 per plant.
