Crimestopper Tip-Theft from Vehicles

The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office, District 5 (serving Anderson Township) has noted a recent uptick in thefts from motor vehicles.

Help law enforcement keep your belongings safe by taking several precautions, including:

- Locking your car

- Using outdoor lighting

- Locking cars inside the garage and securing garage doors

As a reminder, do not leave any valuables inside your vehicle when parked at your home, on the street and especially in plain view in public areas. Total removal of personal property and personal information is the best defense. Clean out glove boxes, door wells, arm rest storage areas and cup holders.
