Archaeological Dig ‘Reconnecting’ Again in Township

The ongoing archeological dig on Anderson Township Greenspace continues this summer. Visit the ‘Turpin dig” project at the site on State Route 32 and Clough Pike (10 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays only) from June 2 to June 22. Use the bike trail parking lot next to the Speedway for parking.

For the fourth consecutive year, archaeologists and volunteers will excavate the former Turpin homestead as part of the Miami Valley Recollections and Reconnections project. Volunteers are invited to help unearth clues to past inhabitants and their culture.
