New Local Native Plant Initiative Kicks Off July 19

Learn more about using native plants in your garden during a kickoff event for the new Native Plant Initiative sponsored by  Anderson Township.

The first event for the year-long initiative is set for 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, July 19 at Anderson Center, 7850 Five Mile Road. Personnel from the local business Native Roots will answer questions about using native plants and share examples of how to mix plants in containers and in gardens of all sizes.

Enjoy refreshments and giveaways during the event, which recognizes the Black-Eyed Susan, the Anderson Township Native Plant of the year for 2025.
