Order Native Trees, Shrubs to Benefit Your Environment

Looking for native trees or shrubs to plant this fall? The Hamilton County Conservation District hosts its annual Native Tree and Shrub Sale from August 1 to August 22, with plant pickup scheduled for September 5 or 6.

Planting trees and native plants can reduce the negative effects of stormwater runoff. They can also intercept and hold large amounts of water while reducing soil erosion.

Pick up plants from noon to 2 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 5 at Sharon Woods, or between 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 6 at Sharon Woods or Farbach-Werner Nature Preserve. Cost is $26 per plant.
