‘Cheers to 10 Years!’ Open House Planned at Senior Center

With significant growth in membership and engagement, the Anderson Township Senior Center has reinvented itself in the last 10 years. Daily attendance is up. Members are interested and active in classes and programs, and participants are noting how important the center is in providing a place to meet new people and avoid isolation.

An open house, set for 4-6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16, offers a great opportunity, in a low-key setting, to stop by and see for yourself all the center has to offer. In the decade since Anderson Township trustee assumed responsibility for the center, enhancements have created a more welcoming space that provides for senior adults in the Anderson area.
