Enjoy ‘Nights of Township Lights’

Cheers to novel experiences!  Anderson Township has initiated a new family tradition this year, as a first-time township holiday event debuts on December 5.

The immersive holiday event includes plenty of sparkle, as individuals, organizations and businesses sponsored creative installations focused on holiday themes such as food, celebrations and traditions.

Anderson Center (7850 Five Mile Road) will be at its festive best for the celebration, with contributed installations on the outside plaza, along the lake walkway and around the center grounds. The event takes the place of the Anderson Holiday Festival, which was hosted at Anderson Towne Center the same Saturday in December.

The whole event begins with an afternoon celebration from 4-6 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 5, featuring entertainment and children’s activities. The displays “come to light” starting at 5 p.m.

The grounds at Anderson Center will be lit up each evening, from Sat. Dec. 5th through Sat. Jan. 1st, from 5pm to 9pm.

When Anderson Center is closed, visit Anderson Center Station in the lower level at the Vantage Apartments for access to restroom facilities, a drinking fountain, and to seek relief from the winter weather.
