Pick Up Trash/Plant A Tree This Week!

The Great American Cleanup is set from 8:30 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Oct. 24. Volunteers meet at Anderson Center, 7850 Five Mile Road, to pick up their assignments and supplies. Stay for the entire time or just for an hour. Students can use the time to fulfill volunteer hours needed for school. Make A Difference Day!

If you’d rather stay close to home, the Taking Root initiative encourages residents to plant a tree on Saturday, Oct. 24 as part of reforestation efforts throughout Greater Cincinnati through Make a Difference Day. The Taking Root initiative is setting its sights on planting 2 million trees in eight regional counties by 2020. For details on this effort, go to http://www.takingroot.info/.
