Hamilton County Offers Flood Cleanup Tips and Suggestions

As residents and businesses in our area continue clean-up efforts from recent flood damage, the Hamilton County Emergency Management Agency provides guidance and tips for cleanup steps and tips. Also, Hamilton County Recycling & Solid Waste District offers suggestions on flood damage recycling options, which may be found below. When disposing of flood damaged materials, please note Rumpke will collect up to or the equivalent of six 30-gallon trash cans under the following guidelines:

• Wood must be cut in lengths smaller than four feet
• Drywall must be double-bagged or in a can
• Bags/cans must weigh 50 pounds or less
• Carpet must be rolled and tied in sections no longer than four feet

Customers may call Rumpke ahead and schedule additional bulk items at 1-800-828-8171 or at www.Rumpke.com. As a reminder, Rumpke will not accept any of the following items:

• Hazardous material
• Liquids (including paint)
• Tires
• Items containing Freon
