Road Maintenance Worker I. Will operate under the direction of a lead-man in repairing roads, maintaining storm sewers, plowing snow, mowing grass and general repair of other Township facilities. Must possess basic skills and experience in construction/maintenance duties. Requires adequate dexterity and physical strength to lift heavy loads such as man-hole lids, concrete blocks and catch basin grates. Must be able to operate a standard transmission dump truck while plowing snow. Must be capable of operating a tractor, roller, jack-hammer and similar equipment.  Must have the aptitude to learn back-hoe/loader operation and be capable of carrying out simple instructions and perform assigned tasks safely and efficiently. Must possess a valid "Ohio Commercial Driver’s License" (class A) at time of application. Selection will be based on experience, education/training and references. The successful candidate will be required to pass a pre-employment physical exam and drug test. $20 - $25/hour, depending on qualifications. Excellent benefit package.
