Ladies- Can You Take the Heat?

Explore the non-traditional career of firefighting through a free daylong class this summer! Geared for young women ages 12 and older, the class is a physically active experience that will immerse you in the daily aspects of firefighting. Students will be taught by women in the fire service. Topics covered include many aspects of firefighting such as advancing hose lines, using firefighting tools, climbing ladders and more. 

Sign up now for the class, set from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.  Saturday, August 14. Lunch is provided. The one-day class is hosted at Scarlet Oaks Career Campus, 300 Scarlet Oaks Drive, (for GPS directions, use 3254 E. Kemper Road).
