Siren Testing Will NOT Occur April 5, 2023 - Rescheduled to April 12, 2023

Outdoor warning sirens are important in severe weather preparedness, and the 14 in our community are usually tested the first Wednesday of each month at noon. However, the Hamilton County Emergency Management and Homeland Security Agency announced that tomorrow’s test (April 5) will NOT occur due to the forecast for potential severe weather.

The Outdoor Warning Siren System test will be RESCHEDULED for next Wednesday, April 13, 2023, pending weather conditions.

A reminder, there are three basic criteria to activate the sirens:

   - The National Weather Service issues a Tornado Warning for all or part of Hamilton County,

   - A tornado is reported by a local public safety official; or

   - A dangerous situation occurs which requires the public to seek shelter indoors immediately.
