Longtime Fiscal Officer Retires

Longtime Fiscal Officer Ken Dietz has announced his retirement effective September 15. He has led the township fiscal team since 1995, managing the township’s more than $50 million budget and all issues related to township finance while maintaining a high quality of public services.

During Dietz’s tenure, Anderson Township grew in population and fiscal complexity as the township began acquiring community-owned Greenspace parcels, developed the Anderson Center building and lake, initiated numerous grant-funded transportation improvements and upgraded aging infrastructure.

A new fiscal officer has been appointed to fill the rest of Dietz’s term of election. Brian Johnson will begin his term in office on September 16. Johnson is a CPA and attorney who has served as an audit manager with the Ohio Auditor of State’s Office, as well as other positions in a tax firm and a national CPA firm.

Johnson will continue with his fiscal office duties after the November election as he was the only candidate to seek the position as fiscal officer.
