Church Street Closure and Lane Restrictions

The Village of Newtown has announced that Church Street (Newtown Road) between Main Street (SR 32) and Ragland Road will be CLOSED to through traffic between Monday, June 29, and Friday, July 3.

From Saturday, July 4, through Sunday, July 19, the roadway will be open for all traffic. However, one lane closure will be in place between 7 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., with traffic maintained and delays.

During the closure, the posted detour will be Lawyer, to Little Dry Run, to SR32 (Main Sreet.) to access Church Street (Newtown Road), and vice versa.

The construction schedule is weather contingent. Please plan accordingly, as the posted detour and other roadways will experience increased traffic.
