Recycling Center Drop Off Upsurge - Your Help is Appreciated!
Recycling bins at the Anderson Township 24/7 Recycling Center at 7954 Beechmont Ave. are often at capacity following the holidays. As a courtesy, we ask users follow these guidelines to allow this free service to continue:
• Bring only recyclable items to the center – see
https://www.hcdoes.org/210/What-Can-I-Recycle for information.
• Do not place recyclables in plastic bags.
• Furniture, plumbing fixtures, Styrofoam and construction materials are not recyclable and should not be dropped off.
• Break down cardboard boxes to allow maximum room in recycling bins.
• Hold recycling items until next trip if bins are full. Items left outside the bins can restrict Rumpke from servicing the full containers. DO NOT BEND OR MODIFY THE BIN LIDS, WHICH CAN BE COSTLY TO REPAIR.
Bins are serviced three times a week, the maximum allowable frequency. Pickup is on Mondays, Wednesdays and Friday mornings. Two extra bins are available during the holidays to handle the increased volume of materials.
Also, a reminder for residents who pay Rumpke for service, an “Anderson Township Rate” includes free curbside recycling (small bin or larger tote). Contact Rumpke for details.
The center is made possible by your tax dollars. Following these steps will help reduce those expenses.
