Employment Opportunity Assistant Event Coordinator Part-Time
Anderson Township seeks qualified applicants for a part-time, Assistant Event Coordinator position. The Assistant Event Coordinator is responsible for a wide range of aspects related to renting space at Anderson Center and the Heritage Center Arboretum. This position will assist the Event Coordinator with advertising and marketing rental facilities, conducting venue tours, booking room reservations, processing rental agreements and final invoices, logistics and risk management issues such as crowd control and security. The position will communicate, both orally and in writing, with clients, vendors and internal staff. This position will have limited supervisory responsibility for other event staff members in the planning and execution of a variety of events.
The Assistant Event Coordinator position requires, at minimum, a basic knowledge of event management practices. Experience working with theater rentals preferred. Must be willing and able to work non-traditional, variable hours as needed, including evenings, weekends and holidays. Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A demonstrated ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects while maintaining strong attention to detail. Candidates must also have demonstrated superior customer service skills in previous work experiences. This position must be able to work independently, with minimal supervision. Possession of a current driver’s license is required.
Starting hourly rate, $17.00 - $20.00 per hour, depending on qualifications.
