Responsibilities & Duties:


§  Daily supervision of Fiscal Office staff which includes full-time Fiscal Office Assistant Manager and part-time Fiscal Office Clerk.

§  Assist with the preparation of $66 million annual budget.

§  Prepare and submit all necessary State and County Auditor financial reports.

§  Supervise accounts receivable/accounts payable functions.

§  Oversee the recording and maintenance of Township Trustee meeting minutes.

§  Perform and assist with a variety of accounting and compliance related duties including, but not limited to, maintenance of income/deposits records, monthly bank reconciliation, bond issue reporting, escrow administration and calculating school district abatement payments.

§  Prepare a variety of reports including, but not limited to monthly financial reports, reporting requirements for the Public Employee Retirement System and Ohio Police & Fire Pension Fund.

§  Complete year-end appropriation and revenue adjustments.

§  Prepare and process bi-weekly payroll for 110 full- and part-time employees and elected officials, using Paycor payroll software/system.  

§  Prepare new lighting district calculations and assessments and record with Hamilton County Auditor.

§  Maintain all Township cemetery records, record of official oaths and bonds of Township officers, and record of marks and brands including trademark filings.

§  Ensure funding for purchase orders.

§  Assist with preparations for annual audit process.




§  Must pass a pre-employment background check.

§  Must be bondable/insurable.

§  Minimum of associate degree in accounting, finance or similar and at least seven (7) years of experience in accounting, financial management or related field. Experience with local/state government preferred. 

Skills and Qualifications:


§  Proficient in word processing, spreadsheets, and database software.

§  Effective communication skills both verbal and written.

§  Detail oriented.

§  Able to work both independently and with other employees in a professional and supportive manner.

·         Self-motivated and able to exercise appropriate levels of discretion.
