Seeking Sponsors for Anderson Township Independence Day Parade!

Last year Anderson Township and volunteers in our community organized and hosted the 18th Annual Anderson Township Independence Day parade. The parade included 60 entries involving 1,000 people in the parade, and an estimated 10,000 spectators lining the route to celebrate our country’s independence on a beautiful summer day.

This year’s parade is again planned to begin at 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 4. It will follow the same route from Beechmont Fire Station #6 (the Anderson Township Operations Center), proceeding west on Beechmont, terminating at the Anderson Towne Center.

As with past 18 years, the township provides assistance with security, insurance, shuttle busses, barricades, and associated elements; however, there are other costs incurred with this event that historically have been the responsibility of our Volunteer Committee. Therefore, with projected costs for printing materials, equipment rental, signage, awards, and other items, we are contacting Anderson Township businesses to request your consideration in being a sponsor of this widely attended community celebration. Attached is an information sheet regarding parade sponsorship, which outlines ways help is needed.
