Areas Around School Safer Through Ongoing Township Efforts

Creating safe paths to schools has been a priority for Anderson Township for many years. Ongoing infrastructure improvements near schools have made it safer for children to walk or bike to school, and for drivers to safely navigate school zone areas.

What’s been completed? Since the early 2000s, crosswalks, school zone signage, traffic calming and many other strategies now support the township’s eight schools. Additionally, through township efforts, students and adults are learning more traffic safety skills.
